Chase Holm

Staff Sergeant Holm is a Military Police Soldier and an Internment/ Resettlement Specialist. He was deployed in 2012 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and again from 2016-2017. It is those values of service above self that SSG Holm will bring to the mayorship.

Selfless Service will be the moral compass that will guide Mayor Holm as his first act will be to lower his own salary. This will be accomplished by tying his salary to the average annual income of families in Des Moines. This will make him accountable to the people of Des Moines and set the tone for fiscal austerity.

Chase Holm has developed and presented legislation to the Des Moines City Council that focused on city elections, city council composition, nightlife improvements, how to alleviate taxation for local businesses, and how to preserve and expand the Fort Des Moines Museum without spending city money.

Chase Holm also serves on Project Iowa's Board of Directors for Business, where he helps with employment issues of homeless veterans, underemployed/unemployed citizens, and former felons.

Chase Holm lives in Des Moines, Iowa, with his Fiance, Victoria Ortiz. He has two daughters and a son; Aspen, Liliette, and Chaseson.
